MIDWEST REGIONRE: MIDWEST REGIONAL ANNUAL SESSION POSTPONEDMarch 17, 2020
Greetings Midwest Region,
I pray all is well.
March 16, 2020, Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky issued a state of emergency! Public gatherings in restaurants and bars are limited to in-person service. Drive-through services only! Steps are being taken to stop any in-person service from state government. As of 5 p.m. Eastern Time, March 15, 2020, Kentucky reported a Statewide total of 21 positive cases and 1 death.
After much prayer, thorough research, speaking with Midwest delegates and conversing with headquarters, I have decided to postpone the 57th Midwest Regional Annual Session, April 13-17, 2020, Louisville, KY.
The greater concern is for the betterment and welfare of human life and to keep people safe! We all would agree, that the coronavirus is a divine message from Heaven; God has simply tapped the brakes and the normal activity of humanity has paused.
How long this coronavirus pandemic continues is yet to be determined. I will reevaluate our options within 30 days and set a tentative date to convene in Louisville for the 57th Midwest Annual Session. All department heads are asked to relay this info (as is) to departments, scheduled guests, and Midwest constituency.
In closing, we are resilient people and by God’s grace, we will get through this. “For we walk by faith, and not by sight.” II Corinthians 5:7 KJV
In HIS cause,
Dr. Keith G. Tyler, Sr.
