MIDWEST REGIONAL ANNUAL SESSIONApril 5-8, 2021
Greetings: To God Be The Glory!
It gives me immense pleasure to write this welcome message. While we regret that the COVID-19 pandemic prevented us from holding the 58th Annual Midwest Region Session in person, we are excited about the opportunities of holding an innovative virtual conference. We will be using the venues of digital and social media to reach a wide audience across the world in these unprecedented times.
The pandemic has forced us into a world only made possible through technology, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I would rather see this as a unique opportunity! This virtual session will be a “new thing.” (Isaiah 43:19)
This session will EMPOWER the attendees to engage in what John Lewis called “Good Trouble.” The Gallup has placed Americans into five social classes: upper, upper-middle, middle, working, and lower. I contend the Gallup omitted the “bottom of the bottom” class.
Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ came to, “heal the brokenhearted,” (Luke 4:18) through His payment of His own blood on the Old Rugged Cross! Our lives would totally be broken if Jesus had not put His own life on the line and took our own place for our sins.
Our world is suffering from “brokenness”. The satanic viruses of, material-ism, sex-ism, greed-ism and I don’t care-ism are viciously destroying our communities and our family legacies! The Progressive National Baptist Convention is providentially poised to be “the prophetical voice for the voiceless.” The Midwest Region is an extension of that “prophetical voice.”
Join us, April 5-8, 2021 for the P.N.B.C. Midwest Region Virtual Annual Session. We are certain you will find this online session spiritual, rewarding, and meaningful. In this session, we can span space and, to a certain extent, time in order to learn and to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” (II Peter 3:18)
I would like to personally salute, President Dr. Timothy Stewart, General Secretary Dr. A. Wayne Johnson, and the entire office staff at headquarters. I would be remiss if I fail to acknowledge the Midwest Region pastors, churches, officers, and the “dream team”, the people working behind the scenes.
In closing. Thank you, Midwest family for your prayers, support and for paving the way and making the dream of the 58th Session come true. I am humbled and eternally grateful for you!
In His Cause,
Dr. Keith G. Tyler, Sr.
Midwest Region Vice President
