National Call for Moral Revival Rally and March to the CapitolMonday, August 2nd
On Monday, August 2nd at 11am EST, PNBC Pastors joined Social Justice Co Chair, Rev. Dr. Freddy Haynes and stood alongside Bishop William Barber and the Poor People’s Campaign in a stand against voter suppression. Hundreds of peaceful protestors including Dr. Haynes and Rev. Dr. Jacqueline Thompson filled the streets demanding that John Lewis Voting Rights and For the People Act be passed as they marched to the Capitol. Hundreds were arrested including PNBC Social Justice Chair Dr. Freddy Haynes, Dr. William Barber, Reverend Jesse Jackson and “Make It Plain” host, Dr. Mark Thompson.
