PNBC Northwest Rains & Floods

Dear PNBC Family,

As we continue to live in these unprecedented times, it is clear that the discipline of prayer is absolutely necessary. Many of you know that the remnants of Hurricane Ida, continues to cause devastation. The northeast is the latest affected by storm rains and flooding.

I have had the opportunity to check in and speak with our Eastern Region Vice-President at Large, Rev. Akin Royall, Co-Chair of Social Justice, Dr. Willie Francois III, as well as Dr. Calvin Butts from our Social Justice Commission. I am happy to share that both were able to confirm no known reported personal injuries or major property damage in their region. We will continue to reach out in the coming days and ask that you join us by checking on your neighbors, and praying for New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and other affected areas.

I would also like to update you on our efforts in Haiti. PNBC Missions has identified the following trusted agencies on the ground, and we are preparing for disbursements as soon as possible.

Mission of Grace
Compassion International
The Federation of Churches Haiti

We are PNBC Strong. We will not worry or obsess. We will have faith in our God, and make moves, knowing all things are working for our good and His glory. Therefore, let us all remember this encouraging word.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” (Deuteronomy 31:8)

God bless you all and God bless our PNBC leadership.

For His Glory,

Rev. Karen E. Belton
Vice-President At Large, Missions
